EcoTek has years of experience with eliminating ants both inside of your home and around your property. There are a number of different types of ants that can invade your home, which is why we employ specific methods to remove each one. Household ants are the small black ones that you will see in your kitchen. Generally, they will build their nest outside and travel into your home. Carpenter ants are common in Virginia, and they get their name because they’re capable of destroying wood structures–just like termites. Then there’s the threat of fire ants that can build mounds all throughout your property. The ants themselves have a painful bite which can even cause welts.
Each type of ant has a different type of treatment. You also need to kill the queen in order to eliminate the colony completely. It may take a combination of baits and traps to do this. If you are tired of trying to do it yourself only to have the pest return, you should turn to an ant control professional. To rid your property of these pests, EcoTek is able to employ both conventional and organic solutions to kill them and ensure they don’t return. Contact EcoTek today to set up a free inspection.
Termite Inspections and Control
The signs of a termite infestation can be tough to spot–even if you know what you’re looking for. For instance, the picture to the right is displaying a mud tube which is a sure sign of a serious termite problem. It’s crucial to spot a termite infestation quickly or to stop it before it even begins due to their ability to seriously compromise the structural integrity of your home or business.
Luckily, EcoTek offers free termite inspections. We will be able to quickly ascertain whether or not termites are present and the best course of action to follow. EcoTek has been providing termite control services since 2011 and is capable of not only removing the termites from your home, but we also assist in repairing termite damage that was caused. And on top of it all, we provide a 10 year warranty that will cover the cost of any additional work done after we’ve performed our initial treatment.
Bed Bug Control
There are few infestations more miserable to live with than bed bugs. And if you’re waking up with rows of itching, red bites on your body, then there’s a good chance you have them. There are other signs as well, such as blood stains or dark areas on your sheets, pillowcases or pajamas. And while their bites are generally not harmful, there is the possibility that they could cause an allergic reaction which may require medical attention.
Bed bugs can be notoriously difficult to get rid of so the sooner you start the process the better. Because of their hard size it is difficult to spot them and find their nests unless you know what you are looking for. EcoTek knows the value of a good night’s sleep which is why we provide free bed bug inspections. And if your home is infested with bed bugs, we offer a bed bug control treatment using highly effective chemical sprays. Our technicians are trained to find any of the places that bed bugs may be hiding and then will work to kill the adult bed bugs, their eggs and their larvae. Schedule a bed bug treatment with EcoTek today so you can get back to sleep.
Cockroaches are easily one of the hardiest types of insects out there. They may wander into your home from outside or you may inadvertently bring them in inside a package. They’re often resistant to all kinds of pest control, be it sprays or even the bottom of a shoe. They also infest your food and are even potential health risks to your family. When they build nests they are looking for a nearby food and water source. Cockroaches can breed quickly and just one or two can quickly turn into thousands.
Luckily, EcoTek has years of experience killing them and destroying their nests. We have numerous, proven methods at our disposal including baits, strips, powders, gap elimination and sprays. And once we perform our treatment we guarantee you won’t have an issue with them any longer. If you have an issue with cockroaches, or suspect you might, then call us for a free inspection. If we find any present we’ll perform same day cockroach control service to make sure they’re all eliminated from your home. We can also help with decontamination and clean up of the nests to help limit any damage they may have done.
Fleas and Tick Control
Fleas and ticks prove the adage that big things can come in small packages. In their case what they bring is annoyance at best and serious health risks at worst. Both can attach themselves to not only your household pets but to you as well–with potentially devastating results. Ticks are known carriers of Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, and Babesiosis. Fleas are capable of carrying typhus, tapeworms, and cat-scratch disease. Signs of a flea infestation in your home can include bites around your ankles.
If you find fleas on your pets, you should also address your home to make sure the fleas do not brother your pets again. Dealing with fleas on your own can be messy and time-consuming. It is easiest to trust a professional to take care of it for you. EcoTek offers flea and tick control services that will completely rid your property of both pests before they even have the chance to make it inside of your home or business. And if you do have an issue with them inside your building EcoTek has the experience to not just completely remove them but to ensure that they don’t come back.
It can be difficult to spot a rat or mice infestation before they’ve done a tremendous amount of damage to your home or business. Their sharp teeth allow them to gnaw through nearly every type of building material–including electrical wiring, which is a very real fire hazard. And they are so active and reproduce so rapidly, that they are capable of causing thousands of dollars worth of property damage. And this is to say nothing of the diseases they can carry. They’re capable of spreading salmonella, the hantavirus and a wide range of other potentially fatal diseases through their droppings and urine.
Signs of an infestation include seeing droppings around your home, especially along the walls, and hearing scratching noises at night in your walls. If you have a rat or mice problem, or suspect that you may, then you should act as soon as possible in order to lessen the amount of damage they’re capable of causing. EcoTek can provide a free rodent control consultation and if we find any rodents we can provide same day service to rid you of them for good. Our experts can also help with clean up, decontamination and repair. Additionally, we will install pest exclusion barriers to stop new rats and mice from finding their way in.
Wild animals can cause a variety of issues around your home and property. During the winter months, many animals may try to build a nest in your crawlspace or attic as a way to escape the cold. Squirrels and raccoons can cause serious damage to your home. They will chew through insulation and wires and pull down ventilation and HVAC pipes in the spaces where they stay. The droppings they leave behind can cause serious health problems. Birds and bats tend to spend time in your attic and cause issues with their droppings and guano that they leave behind.
Trying to trap and remove wildlife yourself can be dangerous. It is best to call in an expert that can safely trap and remove the animal. This is safer for both you and the animal. The wildlife control professionals at EcoTek can safely remove any wild animals that you have in your home or on your property. They can also help with clean up and removing any dead animals that are currently on your property. Call EcoTek to schedule a free consultation today.
